what pitpro to get? (outlaw vs RR)

hey all

i'm in the market for 2 bikes, (one for me and my girlfreind) i have pretty much decided that the pitpro's seem to be the go. i have it down to 2 models the outlaw (see link 1) or the typre RR (see link 2) from what i can tell the outlaw has a alloy frame VS a steel frame and possibly a better rear shock? and the outlaw sits 50mm higher

as for the engine's their both 125cc lifans
the out law is a 10hp VS the RR which is 9.5hp so no big deal, or will it make a fair diffrance?
now they both say oil cooled but after emailing i have found out they both are infact air cooled.

other than that they seem to be the same. and they both seem to sell for about the same price (the outlaw normaly go's for $50 to $100 more)
so basicly what i'm asking is the alloy frame of the out law any stronger or are they just lighter..

i'm after what ever will last longer

if any one has sugestions of other bikes to look at around the $750 mark post em up!

id go the type RR cause i dont like the look of the outlaw

Mate its really a question of what you like as both these bikes are pretty much identical.
the outlaw looks like it has a slightly better shock in it but that is such a small detail and both of these bikes would be a greath pitty.
from experience i have found it easier to get the crf based parts so that might be a point to think about.
You could also look at the 138cc if their still selling them as they have gotten a great rating on this forum. But i think they cost a little more coin.

when you say CRF parts what do you mean ( i know CRF's are bikes..) sorry i dont know much about moto's i've been into racing downhill moutain bikes for years but not moto's so yeah i have a basic idea but yeah..

the 138cc bikes seem to go for over a grand which is out of my budjet

I'd go the link 2, more parts such as exhausts are available for a single spar frame.

ok so the cr-mo single spar frames are easy to get spare parts for?

also with the lifan engines is their any known problems?

the lifan engines are pretty strong prob best china engine not that many probs if you check the oil and tighten the bolts.
when i said parts i meant that crf styles bikes have more backing than the twin spar klx style such as plastics, exhausts and all that sort of stuff the engines are usually the same in both the styles

i plan to get the bike from a local place they have a good rep for after sales service and the bike will cost about 50 bucks more than ebay with a spare better than stock chain, the 125 rr is 750 (ebay they go for 600 + 100 postage) and the 138cc go for $1250 - $1300

and since we are getting 2 bikes that will cost too much, these wont better getting jumped or if they are it'll only be verry small

also i'm thinking of getting some new bars will these pro tapers bolt straight on?

I was watching the 138cc Pit Pros on Ebay for a couple of weeks and they range from $750- to $930. The white ones seem to go for a bit more than black. Have you looked at the MSO X6R these are very similar to the pit pro 125 RR but have a alloy swing arm. The guys at MSO are very helpful and can probably organise cheap freight if you get 2 bikes (a lot of ebay sellers charge heaps for freight to make up for low price).

Thanks for the reply, but the x6r are $895 each plus postage, at $895 there already over our budget for 2 bikes. (this leaves us well over 2k as were rural vic)

The RR is only $750 ata local shop with a free heavy duty chain for each bike.
This means we can just go there and ride away that day for $1500 (our maximum) We canot justify spending the extra for the 138cc, nor need anything of that capacity For what we will be doing.

Were just new to this and are realy after the details of things that can go wrong and parts compatibility, I beleive were rather set on these bikes now as nothing else seems to be as good value at that price.

mate most parts are compatible and not much goes rong if you maintain it and tighten all the bolts and check everything.
