Leg,

Thats f**ked right up man. Did they literally "remove" your acl? Or did they remove some of it and graft some new gear onto it?
Last year i almost lost my left leg from the knee down because of golden staff. Got a massage from a physio who hadn't washed his hands properly, he pushed the bacteria into my skin, it became seriously inflamed, spent two days in hospital on i.v anti biotics and managed to hold off the gangrene! Its real nasty stuff, but i can't believe a orthopod would screw u up like that! Did u get it done in Thailand or something? HAHAH.
I'm starting to see a moral to my storys...DON'T PLAY FOOTBALL!!! HAHAHAH.

yep they totally removed my ACL, they won't do a reconstruction cause the risk of stirring up the infection by going in again. after the initial op a week later I went back in for another 3 weeks, having ops to wash out the infection every 3 days.
I spent another 6 weeks at home with a picc line(peripherally inserted central catheta) in my arm, a small tube that went from my arm through my vein and sat 2mm above my heart delivering me antibiotics 24 hours a day. I have attached a pic so u can see it.
Basically screwing me up. I had it done in Newcastle Private Hospital, it happens more often than you would think. Good luck with yours and I hope I havent scared you too much...

Jesus christ dude, it must be really badly infected..

Damn! Sounds like road racing on track is safer. I've binned it at over 130kph a few times ... got up, dusted myself off, and walked away.

Sorry to hear anyone is off their bikes due to unforeseen circumstances.

Its raining here this weekend ... hurting my riding time, but I'm still out riding. :)
