I noticed one late night ride that my exhaust pipe seemed red and glowing. Today I finally got my new exhaust system (I didnt buy a new one thinking it would fix this problem.). After I installed it, I went for another ride today and saw that the pipe was also glowing again. Keep in mind that I warmed my bike up both times I saw this glow and there was no glow while Idling. It only glows when I go full throttle. What is the reason for this?

P.S My bike sounds hella beautiful and LOUD!!! It has a nice deep note that can be heard in the next neighborhood

your bike may be running a little lean on WOT. check your plug, if its a whitsh/really light colour, not enough fuel if getting to your combustion chamber and therefore you get an especially hot burn. This is probably because of your new exaust. most of the time when you get a new exhaust you will have to tune your carb to suit it, unless you get the same one that came with your bike. is your new exhaust bigger or smaller (diametre) then your old one?

It could also be your valve timing. My exhaust was doing the same thing then upon checking the valves my intake valve was way off

Yeah as said above.. My valves were way out and I had just re jetted my carbie and my exhaust got really hot after about 2min just above idle but it's all fixed now after doing the valves and carbie adjustment. I would start with those two and see what happens. Good luck.

As said above check valve clearances first then if still doing it go up one or two sizes on your main jet and start with your clip in the middle of the needle.

I had a bike to rich and the gas was still burning in the pipe cousing it to glow red. Check your plug for to rich or to lean condition, then go for the valves

the header pipe glow red for the first couple inches or so is normal if motor is at wot, there is a lot of exhaust gasses trying to move through ur exhaust. but check if its running lean by plug colour ur looking at the middle electrode for wot, it wants to be a nice golden/brown colour, white is lean black is rich. plus it also pays to get a new plug and go for little ride at running temp to get best results
