wtf dirtmax 169 engine

just had a look at the dirtmax 2009 catalogue and theres a 169 motor due in january looks like shes gonna be the engine of 09........i rang up dirtmax and asked about the 169 and he goes......who told you that ??? where did you see that?? and i was like ummmm just a mate and hes like........whos your mate hahaha he sed no1 was suppose to know about that engine hahaha.......hes telln me its gonna be a bit pricey tho around the 2 grand mark.........stuff that...........the motor does look guru but i wudnt put it in a china bike.......

any1 else heard about this engine and what do you think heres the link

It would have to be bullsh*t fast to warrant spending $2000. And reliable as well. I'd want to get 2 or 3 years of hard abuse out of it for that much money.

The best engine they've got ATM is the YX160 and I'm pretty sure it was priced at $799 + postage ... With the AUD being low compared to the USD ... I'd say any newer model engines are going to be priced higher ... The Japs are copping it ATM and are in a recession ... maybe it's time they lowered the price of their dirtbikes ... Ykjohnson contacted me today to take a look at his new prices which he says "reflect the down turn in the world economy" ... Anyone who states prices in US dollars is going to hear the sound of wallets slamming shut bigtime ... When you have a good think about it ... it's not too bright a move to increase the value of your currency when your country's economy is taking a nose dive like the US is ... Are people dyslexic or something ... IF you're going broke and you make your exports cost more ... you are slitting your own throat ... ********* ... The yanks are now paying the price for over valuing their goods ... just like the goons in the real estate sector ... sucko to the lot of 'em ... I've been telling everyone the economy is going to crash for years ... Look at how many cars go into the cities every day ... every one of those workers is getting paid ... some get huge pays ... but there is no saleable product being produced ... No ... I'm not surprised about anything Panda ... I warned yank sellers that they were headed for failure with their high prices from around 2 years ago on Planet Minis and Thumpertalk ... It's easy to put 2 and 2 together to understand where things are heading in the bigger picture ... Look at the Japs ... they were complete FOOLS for not producing pit bikes in the form that we like 'em for an affordable price ... They threw away billions in lost revenue by ignoring the market ... But China was smart and raked in all the cash ... Now they've got the wealth to weather the global crash ...

NRG (dirtmax guy) shyed away as soon as he was asked for dyno results he claimed he had... all i can say is i have a dirtmax avenger yx 150 it seems to perform allright started first kick with the 28mm molkt carb and seems to run fine... sure its got punch but not 16hp punch

The MOLKTS are only a 24 mm carb ... and since they are a copy of a VM-26 Mikuni ... I'd say THEY are only a 24 mm carb as well ... especially since not one single soul will measure their VM"26" Mikuni and 'fess up to verify the actual venturi size despite several requests I've made on forums ...

A lot of people MUST have read what I've said and measured their carbs but they won't answer ...

WELL mate i haven't broken mine and the only thing to break is clutch and break levers and tubes from the power and me dropping it on corners.

check the canungra results 2nd in 12" and 3rd in import so it does get ridden hard and still not break.??
