    inside or outside?

    Voltage advice Z50

Yeah you will have to make sure to convert all globes etc to 12v on any bike that was originally 6v.

    Can you tell?

Yeah I won't know till I get MRI done next week. They can be real nasty i know. I am being optomistic at this stage cause no use worrying till ya know theres something to worry about...but...i heard it grind and tear so loud. Didn't sound too good.

    Yx 150cc Proof Of 16.9hp

Honestly don't look to bike resellers and importers for acurate engine or bike specs. 99.9% have their specs wrong either cause they are just repeating what is advertised on alibaba or something, or they are copying what all the other sellers are listing or they are the one who made the BS claim...

Which is the best engine brand?

You mean a stock Honda engine ***** all over a stock China engine..., or a couple of thousand dollars worth of Takagawa or Kitaco internals inside Honda cases ***** all over a stock China engine? Also GPX is just what the SGR group have stamped on their jailing engines.

    Tricks of the trade

The walls of the inlet system and exhaust should be as uniform as possible, without any lips or protrusion, but with a rough and even finish. Any lip or deformation in the wall shape will cause a turbulent spot which causes a disruption to flow at greater port velocities. The roughened finish...

    Voltage advice Z50

The 140, depending on the supplier, should come with a 12V regulator/rectifier. You just have to wire it in correctly with any other thing you want to hook up, and thats it. The motor has the necessary wires in place for a full 12V system. You just have to solder or plug the motor into your...

    Cam Shaft Cover

You really should be fine with the replacement that is on its way. Just don't overtighten it. I have found the bolts in these engines perfectly sufficient, but they will not withstand overtightening, and are designed this way to save the part not themselves. Most engine bolts need no more than...

    Cam Shaft Cover

I doubt you'll find a specialised bolt like that. You may also need it to have a plain shaft for its entire length the same as the original so it wont disturb the oil flow into the cam.

    Ever Heard Of This?

Don't waste $70 rebushing a **** shock. Put it towards a better shock that already has solid bushes.

    Can you tell?

The 140 blow all the time??? How do you figure that. Yeah got a bike ready for next FOTM. I put a stock 140 in while i'm finishing mucking around with cams for a 160 being built for it. With only a 28mm flatslide and a big flowing custom exhaust, the thing rips as is. Its the first time I've...

    front end issues

You need to release all the top the top triple clamp pinch bolts. Then tighten the formentioned nut till there is no play in the stem. Then tighten the very top centre nut on top of the triples. This will tighten the triple clamp down onto the adjuster nut so it can't reverse back up the stem...

    Lets get this clear

A turn is 360 degrees. If you need your air screw set less than about 1 1/4 turns out to get reasonable low speed running, then go up a size on the idle jet. If you need the screw 2 turns out (360 deg!) or more for good running then go down a jet size.

    whats the better engine?

I've had both engines apart and built race engines from both. I have checked every tolerance and all clearances. I have also followed closely the work done with these engines worldwide, and failures in both engines. There is no way Jailing is 'way' better or even a little bit better. And...

    Can you tell?

...yeah you can tell alright. The real numbers are closer to 8hp and 10hp. The 140 has much more torque than the 125's which is the first thing you notice.

    88 kit blew up

Yes running a stock cam with high compression kit is whats wrong I'd say. High comp piston and race cam are designed to go together. The long inlet duration of the race cam will lower your dynamic compression ratio to where it should be. A lot of people run into problems slowly building their...

    Where to get special tools?

Yep best fix is the modded socket. I made my set for clutch and slinger from tuff impact gun sockets. Better than bought ones. If you finish them up with a file you can make them fit with zero tolerance.

    Clutch !!! AHHHHH

Hey I don't think you are engaging the clutch at all. Sounds like you only are taking up the slack. Once its working properly you will have the pressure of the clutch springs to pull the lever back.

    88 kit blew up

Looks and sounds like detonation, which will keep destroying pistons if you don't do something to stop it. That knocking you heard is a tell tale sign. Check your compression ratio to see what you have got.
