    DIY Exhaust Stuffing?

I've used pot scrubbers which are just coarse stainless steel wool. They're cheap and won't catch fire.

CT90 Lifan 140 needs more top speed

Looks like your intake was only one of 2 bottle necks. 22mm is definitely too small for the exhaust. Look for a 28mm.

CT90 Lifan 140 needs more top speed

That ought to do it. The Sheng Wey carbs work fine though so you'll have a spare if you ever need it. Be sure to post an update once you get the new one installed and tested. Q

CT90 Lifan 140 needs more top speed

There is your problem. I found the correct one on eBay about 1.5 years ago for around $6 but don't remember the seller. Q

CT90 Lifan 140 needs more top speed

I have a similar bike, CT90, Lifan 140, same carb. I'm running a foam Unifilter mounted directly to the carb, 94.5 jet, cheap pit bike exhaust, 15/40 gearing. Plug color is perfect. It'll easily cruise at a GPS checked speed of 55 with my 6'2" 250 lb self riding it. My smaller and lighter...

lifan transplant into postie bike ct110

I also have a Lifan 140 on a CT90 but I used a 40 tooth rear sprocket from one of the old pre 1967 CTs that had the big sprocket that fit over the smaller one instead of the dual range gearbox. The mounting holes and everything lines up perfectly. That lets you use a 15/16/17 tooth front...

    Lifan 140 or GPX 125?

I have a Lifan 140 on a postie bike here in Arizona that gets used every day both on and off road but not raced. It now has 5800 miles (9300+ Km) on it and has had no problems whatsoever.

It would be a problem if you towed it very far without removing the chain.

    Air filter maintenance

I suspect the outer filter is there only to extend the time it takes for the inner filter to become clogged when riding in very dusty conditions.

    Air filter maintenance

Unifilter says to oil both inner and outer layers. Frequently Asked Questions I only oil the inner for the same reason as you. Q

    Lifan 140 intake manifold question

Thanks guys, that's what I figured. I'll get the correct one. Q

    Lifan 140 intake manifold question

First post here. You folks seem to be the experts on these things. I just put a Lifan 140 into a postie bike. The engine was supplied with a 26mm Sheng Wey carb, a copy of a Keihin. The manifold is 26mm ID on the carb side but only 22mm ID on the engine side even though the intake port on...
