righto fellas im in the market for me new race bike for this year just after peoples opinions on these two bikes......i have rode the new crf and it rips but havnt rode the yzf im after positive and negetive feedback on these two bikes so post away cheers:D

lol i am leaning that way cause the yami is 800 bucks dearer and i have been honda all my life and the fella at the shop said he has rode both of them and the honda goes harder and feels much better and the yami dont like jumps very much as the suspension is poor

kx250f more power better breaking and real good ergo's

i was reading the adb shootout the other day it this one by a mile

the cr came close second but didn't have the punch of the kx but had good brakeing

the yz and the rmz where bottom rungthe rmz the sacrificed power for noise reduction and the yz was let down by the front end and brakeing

from memory the kato faired ok but i'm not a fan

again i only read this info so i dont know how much it all means but i'm a big kwakka fan have riden last years suzi and crf and kxf they pretty nice crf better but the kwaka wasn't set up for me
but yz 450 was awsome but i'm not sure how similar the 250 is in size and weight

good luck there all pretty close

As far as I am aware in that article it went KXF, KTM, CRF then the rest. Every mag willl have different opinons on the bikes.

I would go the Honda for sure. But that's only cause I love Honda's!! lol.

If I was getting a new bike though, I would wait a year. 2010 Model CRF250's will be fuel injected. ;)

yeah kxf crf kato 123

out of 5 differant riders the kxf won engine ergo's and brakes second in handleing
the crf got 3rd engine but first in handleing because of suspension but scored a dismal 4th on brakes and ergos

now i should note that in testing these bikes are setup for each rider so suspension levers and all set to your likeing on each bike so the opinions of the 5 experianced riders should be pretty valid give or take personal preferance

but unless you can get a test on each bike setup just for you than trial and error is your only choice

or you can assume a pro rider and a generaly experianced hack or 2 would have pretty good grounds to make a good point
mate the bikes are so close your pretty right either way you go

Should have a read of that other artcle posted above.

Really contradicts what ADB are saying about the bikes. They reckon the Honda has the best brakes by a mile!! lol.

(10-point must system 10=1st, 8=2nd, 6=3rd, etc)

The new crop of 4-strokes has another foe to deal with now in the amateur ranks. New rules allow 2-stroke 250 machines to compete in the same class. Check out what we thought about the 2009 Yamaha YZ250.1. Honda – 44
2. Suzuki/Kawasaki – 34

Im with Joel , but mybe the new husky tc450 ?????????

Rmz isnt even worth considering now and the yami is a bit of the mark. Kato's next as its preety good in the suspension department and has all the new hardparts on it. Crf is nice too.

horses for courses , i'd be trying to get a test ride on a new husky though apparently they are ******** - 99kgs!!!! thats a 250 2 dinger!

hey mate go on you tube and tipe in whateever bike you want and there are very good reviews on there by motousa

tipe in 2009 crf250r and then look for the video uploaded by motousa and watch

IMO it would either be the crf or kxf,man check out the reviews they are great, the yamaha apparentyl has the best suspension by all the riders rewiews fron motouse which are all pro riders so maybe ya dealers is bullshitting you haha

but the new kxf looks dope and is so fast ive read,im actualy in the market for a 250f or a 450f atm as well and i want a honda but the kxf has been re-built from ground up everythings new and has the nice ti nitrate fork legs in black, looks sick as

but its either outta honda or kwaka dont go the rmz or yzf

I myself would go the kxf as apparently the 09 model is a good one, but ive also heard from people in the industry to wait untill 2010 because the 2010 bikes are gonna be even better.

yeah big down fall from the honda with coments from good riders like this

“It was the Honda’s Number 1 complaint for me!,” says Alvin. “If I landed hard on jumps it would bog and that made it hard for me to relax or try to set-up for the next obstacle. The motor doesn’t rev out as far as some others, but has great power.”

but again they where realy not able to set up the bikes to suit the rider

hard choice
i also wonder if the american bikes are differant than what lands here ??

out of the 2 , honda all the way.....

What happened to RMZ's wernt they on top a couple years back??

wait till 2010 and try and get connections on getting the bike in a crate not assembled , takes a crapload off the price ;)

kx's are good when new but after a year or so thier resale is **** and they are totally clapped out

well i have read a few reviews and the honda seems very consistent in all of them so im happy with that.....my mate rides a kxf and i dont like it that much, so im steerin clear from the kxf i really dont like their ergo's it feels like your feet are higher up on the bike and it makes me feel uncomfortable and lowers my confidence, but so far i have my heart set on the honda, im taking my bike in today to see what they offer me for a trade in so if the offer is good ill will be swingin laps on my new bike tonight :D

Thanks for all the feedback guys
