My new bike arived today the DHZ 140 anyways everything is going good but I'm having trouble putting the foot peg's on, what i mean is the actual spring i cannot figure out how to load the spring? Can anyone possibly tell me how it goes on correctly and possibly show me a photo. It's completely different to my rm125 and my other minibike...

The front wheel, pegs, front mudguard, handlebars where all not connected so it fits into the crate thing.

hey i took my footpegs of a while ago to paint em and i went to put em back on and i completly forgot how to put the spring back on..it took me nearly an hour to work it out. if my bike was here id take a pic of the footpeg on but its not soo hopefully someone else can get you a photo of it..

The hook on the spring goes on the mount and the and the other hook goes on the peg, its common sence.

What you said makes no sense. Here is a couple of pictures i took so hopefully somebody can give me some ideas.

Notice the hole on the bottom of the peg? I'm guessing that has something to do with the spring??? I also just emailed DHZDIRECT tho I'm not sure if he will reply.

Yeh it's common sense that all bike's are not the same. So many DHZ owner's on this site but no one can help?

Just test it out one way, if the peg srping aint loaded when you put it in try it the other way.

It can only go in a few ways. Just try your luck, you would've been done by now if you just kept trying.

You've probably tried this but put the spring over the pin and the straight end of the spring threw the hole in the peg and the hook over the mount, thats how it looks like it should be.

Yeah, exactly.

Ok so after being pissed off with the pegs i started jamming screw driver's here and there and ended up figuring it out (i hope).

Dont know if it's correct but it works. The reason i think it's wrong is because it was an absolute bitch to get the spring loaded like that, i had to use screw driver's to help push it in like that. My finger's are extremely sore from pushing the spring but now i can go riding tomorrow:) and test the bike out.

Nah its normal to have difficulty loading springs, just try replacing the break pedle spring!! Ohwell good to see you got it workin.

The spring goes on like this mate. I also had to grind down the corner where ive marked so the peg can fully fold back. It was only folding about halfway before. Hope this helps.
