hey guys

I was at honda world and I came across a Silencer. It is $10.

It is a weird looking thing. It's a cone shape so it is universal and it is made of rubber.

Has anyone used one or seen one in there local store?

Also, I think it was jono that had a silencer made from a piston, can you tell me what size piston would fit into a genuine CRF50 muffler?

thanks

The silencer you saw at the shop for $10 would be so you don't piss your neighbors off when your at home starting the bike up. Wouldn't be a day in day out thing.

CRF50's with stock exhausts are damn quite as they are anyways. Ive got a T4 procircuit on my CRF50 and its not to bad noise wise.

yeah if you made a crf50 any quieter it would stall out all the time they have massive restiction in the muffler as it is.... i cut all the insides out of mine & it's still quiet as a mouse

With the cr80 piston, i think he drilled a few holes in it and then on the side of the tip of the muffler, drill a hole, and match it up with the side of the piston so you can chuck a screw in there...

Generally, silencers are good for the backyard but at the track take it out as it lowers performance..
Cheers.

if you want your bike any quieter then a stock crf50. then buy a kids electric ride on car. you will end up with the same power with a silencer on top of the stock exhaust.

lol ok.

I'm gettin my crf50 saturday so I just wasn't sure if its worth making a silencer just for the backyard and carparks

crf 50s just sound like a postie bike with the stock muffler.

sorry bout grave dig but it's Sunday and still no pics come on sid love see the new toy

are you talking about me getting the crf? I'm getting it in a few weeks now
