G'day

this morning i removed all the Choke components, the butterfly/shaft the lot, its now really opened up the carbys throat:D no more restrictions in this baby lol,

put it all back together, did a sparkplug burn, tuned it / adjusted Eclip, got it purring like a kitten, start first kick etc

and wow its a real noticable difference in throttle responce, it kinda suprised me a bit haha,

has anyone else down this? if so did yours make a real nice difference?

Cheers

i haven't done it but i have heard that it does make a huge difference to the crf50 if they have a stock carbi.

What bike did you do it to and what sort of carbi/motor does it have?

love you signature, funny as hell.lmao

PLug the whole that left with JB WELD because that letting dirt in your motor+equals worn out motor.

If you only street riding you could get away with it but thats your call.

kart SS yeah mate already done that, thats the reason why i waited so long to do it cause i needed to find a good way to seal the hole up,

thumpy just a jap mikuni on the silver Ducar, throttle respose is great esp down low now!

(they might now learn hehe)

I've done it before, yes it's a good improvement..but most likely you have the 22mm mikuni copy (even though they say it's 25/26mm) because the venturi is oval and not round...get a 26mm for MASSIVE improvements. No need to jb weld it, if you can find a tip of a pen that fits, stick it in, i did that with my old carb, works a dream.

Can someone post a pic of the clip thing that you ajust to make it richer or leaner?

got any photos of the mods would be good to see how to exactly do it before i take my carby off.

The one on the right is the clip, you unscrew the top of the carby, take the whole carb slide out, pop the needle out..and adjust the little clip on the needle

you move the clip DOWN to RICHEN
and UP to make LEANER

so does the pin just pull out or do you screw it out and then whe you get the clip do you screw it up and down or does it slide into positions???? i dont wanna stuff anythink up coz carbis are one big catastrophy waiting to happen...

Hey the pin is a clip, like this one

you can easily undo it with a pair if plys or a flathead screw driver.

The E clip only affects the fuel mixture at one quarter throttle to a bit over 3 quarter. You need to establish at what point in the throttle range your mixture is incorrect before doing any e clip adjustments. If your main jet is incorrect and it is lean at full throttle then any adjustments you make to the E clip wont help. In order to get your carby set up right
FIRST get the correct main jet
SECOND sort e clip (or needle jet if necessary)
THIRD pilot jet adjust

FORTH ride a bike that goes like it should
