hey guys im planing on getting a bigger bike soon and would like to know what you guys reckon i should get i like to muck around and practice wheelies and stuff but i mostly ride out on bush trails so yeah just put up what bike you reckon i should get probably stick with a 250 and it has to be able to be road registered so i can get my bike lisence.

if you want gut wrenching power and torque go for a ktm380exc, i still cant figure out why they stopped making them, maybe too many law suits, i have one and all i can say is whoaaaa. try holding it wide open and you start to hit crazy speeds

but if you wanna rego, i would be getting a 250f cheaper to rego and alot easier to ride

yeah ive had a look at the 250exc's and they look ok my mate has a 200exc 03 model and that things pretty quick but yeah i dont want anything any bigger than a 250 because i want to get my motorcycle lisence

I have a Ktm400 '02 road regd and she climbs anything and everything and it has never let me down. I love Ktm's but if you want a 250 also look at the crf. Someone correct me if im wrong but I thought the law in Victoria now allows learners to ride upto 660cc.

im pretty sure that 250cc is maximum in vic unless they have changed it not that long ago?

250 is the maximmum in victoria.

If i were you i would by either a wr250f or a crf250x.

You could also have a look at the yzf250 or the crf250 but not sure if they can be registerred for road and will have to have quiet abit of work done to it to be registered.

yeah i have heard thet with the wr f's and crf x's you have to check your valves alot and they are maintenince<<--(??spelling??)

i have a husqvarna tc 250 that goes extremly well never had a problem with it
i know that exact one isnt road registerable butthe 250 that is would be just as great
there also a bit cheaper than the hondas and yamahas i think

personally if you can wait a little while(mid year) it may be well worth it. Victoria is expected to follow suit with NSW, SA and Tassie in the LAMS bike list.

legally able to ride a 250cc+ bike on your L's and P's. the list grows as bikes become available and this site is well worth keeping an eye on.
