Hey there ellas, been riding around on a pitpro 125 for a little while now but have decided that i want something with bigger wheels on it, i have 2 bikes in mind, one of them is a pitpro 140cc bigfoot basically the pp 140 with bigger wheels or an atomik link 250

Atomik
Atomik Motorsports

Pitpro

That with bigger wheels really

Now my question is what bike would be the better bike, they both will be basically the same price, is the 250 gonna be a better/faster engine than the 140? and also what will be the better bike as in quality of parts? just really lookin for a bike that can be used in the bush to have some fun around trails and stuff, not looking for a bike to do jumps or anything like that on.

Thanks

The bigger front wheel on the pitpro is actually too big for the bike and it will hit the bashplate when goin over bumps

yeah i've heard that is a prob on the pp, but i have been talkin to a guy a city motorbikes and that problem has been addressed in the 09 model pp

Well theres one way to test that, just go down to citymotorbikes and get on one and jump up and down on it with the front brake on and u will find out for sure.

budget lookin at 1300 max and i want to ride in bush and i want the bigger wheels on the bike so it will be easier to get over bumps and roots, things like that, the small wheels just aint big enough and slow me down when im up bush

personally wouldn't get any kind of china made big bike.. leave pit boss's to china as they seem to be doing alright but there's not a chance they would be making decent big bikes already ,

spend the same amount of money on a Japanese 125cc 2 stroke there's some cheap ones getting around.

I never did like the china 250 bikes but they do have some nice ones now but they cost more like $2500+ but as they say ''you get what you pay for''.

It is hard to find a good second hand jap bike with less than $1500 to spend so you should stay clear of the japs coz if something does go wrong the parts cost alot more than chinas.

mate check one of these out... i bought one of these, from a different supplier about a year and a half ago... it was actually a 150, that i up-engined to a 250... i havent had a single problem with mine, although by the looks of the pics, the wheels are bigger than what i have... pretty sure mine runs 19" front, 16" rear... while it doesnt go anywhere near my 450 for handling or power, it's a great fun bike to ride, and once the suspension is sorted, can be held wide open over pretty much everything...

ive been through the heaviest trails using a 12" 14" combo with no problems... depends on what sort of a rider you are and your riding capabilities!

I agree 100% with crazzy as I can go anywhere on a 12 14 that I could go on the ktm400 except some river crossings wernt as easy and the bike pitty didnt like them too much but other than that its all good.

The pitpro just looks a bit wierd for me coz it looks like the wheels are too big which just looks off balance.

I think any 140 or 150 with decent suspension will out do any 250 china of the same price on the trails. Suspension is everything and the reason you may be restricted on the trails is due to **** suspension which compromises ur handling so it wont really make a difference with a bigger wheel if its has the same ****** suspension.
