Maybe MSO are talking down the 56 because they dont have them!I've ridden both motors(both with IRK)and the 56 is miles ahead!!
The 56 also has strengthened kickstart gears, and a mate of mine has a 55 with IRK and is nowhere near as fast as mine, which is why he is now buying a 140xr.
If youve heard other things about the 56,please do go into that now,we'd like to hear about it!!

righto, now im definatly goin with the Pit Pro! thanks for everyone for all the info they gave me because it has helped my decision alot. Ill be getting it in about a week, so look out for some pics when i get it!

thanks all

Hmmm, From what I have read, the 56 is the same motor as the 55 but it has stronger kick starter gears and has an IRK installed !! if there are more differences please let me know ??

So if both motors had IRK's I cant see how a motor with stronger kick starter gears can be any faster !! LOL

or maybe your 56 powered bike has a bigger carby/better jetting, maybe better exhaust, maybe different timimg, maybe different gearing (or maybe all the above) over your mates 55 powered bike !! I dont know...

If it was so good MSO would have them. You might have gone faster because of a different sprocket setup. The MSO also has a dnm rear shock and from what ive heard they are better than fastace.

You could be onto something there about the setup, which makes for an even better case towards the 140xr.probly my poor grammar was confusing by mentioning the kickstart gears and fast in the same sentence, wasn't trying to say the 2 were related.
And juiceboy its faster through the entire range(ie. take off and top speed) so dont think it was down to gearing

i would love to have a ride day in SA and have a bit of friendly competition between the 2 bikes. then we could get some real results rather than statistics and what not!

well is anyone going to be at the queensland black duck valley 8th-9th December weekend with a MSO140s? unless anything unexpected happens i will be there with my pitpro xr140 and will be good for some testing

budd, personaly,, the mso's are 1 of the gretest thing to have happend to the pitty world, best people to deal with, better then pitpro, dhz, etc,
the elite is their best bike, handle anything!
chek out their new bikes, they sound pretty awsome,
my mso is pretty stock, iv taken here to the trak few times up against my bros dhz 140,
came bak all mine needed was a clean, where as my bro needed a clean and few mods 2 bend sum parts bak into their shape.
the mso is the way 2 go when your talkin pit bikes!!
go the elite all the way if youv got the money,
if i were 2 buy a new pitt it would be their elite!
best bike on the market in my opinion!
cheers!
Ryan!
