so must be pritty happy with oil then? Im always interested in watt oil people run in there 2 smokers. at 32/ 1 should run rich enough to get nice smell to it on track days :)

yeah,
all 3 bikes still have pretty fresh engines, new pistons, rings, honed etc, so i'm just keeping safe for the moment

i might go to 40/1 eventually, but they each been jetted to suit 32/1, the plugs are coffee coloured, and there's not much oil spitting out the exhaust either

my 94 rm 125 seems happy on 30:1 probably been jetted to suite.
happy to say i did a complete day of riding mainly on the redline (as there meant to be) and quite a few top speed pinned runs and it hazent melted yet :p

i thought i might make up another silencer for the DS, the other i made looked a bit plain/simple.
i have made this one with a bit of inspiration from Yoshimura, lol
just need a mounting flange welded onto the rear/tip end, so the tip can be removed to repack it.
weld up the front, and make a frame mounting tab, then paint it.

cheers,

not sure what the sound difference will be yet?
the other silencer had a 19mm i/d tip, this new one has 2x 15mm tips,
the drilled/perforated tube is the same size with the 2 silencers
the new silencer is slightly shorter too

thanks, almost finished it.
we had visitors call in, then they stayed for tea.....
