Hey guys,
A few months back i bough a 'front brake setup" for my pit bike and i received in the mail a rear brake for an ATV...i never got round to sending it back so now i wanna sell it. The problem is the pads have fallen out and i can figure out how they fit back in...if anyone has any knowledge on how to do this please help.there is a gold metal plate that fits in somehow and i have just put it back in the way im guessing is right.

cheers, Michael :)

P.S. sorry this isnt really mini related but it was the most appropriate place to put it.

that pad with the bracket goes on first with those two bolt things going through the holes on the pad. then you will need a packer about the same width as a disk brake, like a piece of 3ply, place the other pad in and pack it with the plywood or the packer you have and it should work.

just try and get it to fit in the best as possible. might take a little bit but you'll get it

cheers mate, is the gold plate in there sitting correctly? and also how do i take the pressure out of the piston because atm its too tight to fit the two pads + a spacer.
Also is the smaller ad meant to sit there freely and not lock into place?

thanx!

That second photo might help me put my brakes back together... I was about to buy a whole new setup as i think i have stuffed the master cylinder anyway.

geezus you should of told the guy you brought it from an told him to send you the right brake an you shouldnt have to pay to send that back
thats in the ebay rules i think

cause i brought a irk off ebay instead he sent me a 140cc bore an piston i told him that he sent the wrong thing an told him to send the irk
the irk came 1 week later so i got a 140cc bore an piston an irk for $80;)

the piston wont move and the pad doesnt sit in there right...bare in mind i have the WHOLE set up including the lever and brake line.

its been a while now but i could ask em again, ill just send one saying that i though you were just going to send me the correct one and that would be it! lol

Hi,
I purchased a 125cc pit bike front brake set up (330053053776) from you guys a couple of months ago and i was sent a 4 wheeler rear brake set up. I was informed the correct brake set up was going to be sent to me but i still havnt received anything.

Cheers, Michael thats the email i sent em :p

Hehe nice hopefully they will send you a new one. I just had a look at mine I have snapped a part of the clip and there is defiantly something wrong with the master cylinder. I guess thats what you get for riding with no brake pads;) just bought a whole new rear brake kit including bake pads for $60 which is good as i was going to be paying $40 just for new pads.
