hey fellas, im trying hard to pop wheelies on m,y pitpro 125, the closest ive come to it is when slapping in from 1st to 2nd without clutch, the front pops up slightly. first gear seems to be geared in a way that it feels piss weak am i right? so i try hard on 2nd to clutch it up, and it wont come up, the clutch either just feathers or the bike just bogs down a bit, it takes off but the back wont come up, ive tried pulling it up etc, just wont come up, im only 61kg.

just wondering what your expereinces are, and what your techniques are to make the bitch come up!

thanks

It has alot to do with balance, sit towards the back of the bike and pull up a bit when doing a wheelie.

Im no expert but I would suggest to start off try riding real slow in 2nd gear and find some good riding surface that has lots of traction and just rev it and pull up, practice that, and then when you feel ready try dropping the clutch.

hey mate make sure your bike is warmed up. then ride along in 2nd gear at a little bit more than idle speed, sit your butt as far back on the seat. then quickly turn the throttle whilst pulling back a little on the handle bars and it will come up. if you want to do clutch wheelies ride as slow as possible and give her a few revs and just drop the clutch out. i don't recommend this way as it can damage your clutch in the long run and also flips you back if you ain't careful. hope this helps.

thumpy125 thanks that will help me too I hope I thought the only way was to drop the clutch

LOL YOU CANT DO A MONO? mate drive alone go into second rev the **** and drop the clutch

theres no need to drop the clutch just sit back on the sit give it a bit of gas and pull up.

When I try to wheelie without dropping the clutch I can never go very far because it seems I rev it out to much but when I use the clutch I get the wheel off the ground and still have plenty of rev in 2nd gear so I can go forever.

you want to go slow in first and sit right on the rear wheel then as you give the throttle a snap pull up on the handle bars
the slower you go the harder it is but it will improve your balance quicker and once you have the balance down you should be able to do it in pretty much any gear for as long as you want.
hope it helps just keep practising

no clutch needed, just pull/balance/control

If only I could change gears in the middle of a wheelie, then I really could go forever.

If u can master clutch control with the rear brake ull be doing endless monos;)

I've been practicing my wheelies alot actually, few days ago I broke off a foot peg when I went to far back and fell off, broken many levers before but not a foot peg!

LOL broken foot peg thats got a suck,
you should be able to do them in any gear for any distance, it's just about keeping it on the balance point & controling the throttle so you don't have to change gear. even first gear long wheelie are possiable just real hard

I was screwing around last night, And was thinking that after droping clutch, Bike would just wheel stand but maybe not.. would i need some lean back??
Or is bike not preforming?

Cheers Dremaah

yeah you have to pull & lean back while apply'n the throttle takes a bit to get it all the right order & style

If you are planning on doing wheelies do not use the clutch(rev engine drop clutch fast) this will cause your clutch to burn out or ware as people say and won't last forever. if you ask most people how they do wheelies its will alot of practice and not the clutch.

Ill give it a Shot abit lata.. Cheers Guyz...

Should the wheel be coming up if i did drop clutch, without any throttle ??

Oh thanks Hillz, Had me Worried haha, What i might try to night is just keep it in 1st and give it a rev and pull up see if i can get some phat wheeiles happening :D

So used to 2 stokes, *** with ur hand and straight up haha ;)
