PS3 help

Ok i have a USB that i use to connect to the net on my laptop, i bought a router the other day to see it i could get my PS3 online.

I plug the usb internet thing into the router(it picks up reception through the router fine) then run the Ethernet cable from router to PS3.

I cant find my sony manual so i just tried to set it up myself but had no luck.

I can get an IP adress but no net connection due to a DNS error

Am i wasting my time trying to do this or is there just something im doing wrong, any help will be great.

Sounds like the DHCP setup on your router is not right. Try using the Router IP as a DNS server on the PS3 or try one of these:

61.88.88.88
144.140.70.30
144.140.71.16

That should get you going.

sweet thanks man, i also have on option to use a proxy server, do i need to use that at all lol i have no idea what im doing just winging it
