G'day guys, this is my second thread today:eek:

Im interested in buying a mates Atomik ProX, it's second hand obviously but it hasn't had that much use but the question is would it be worth buying and eventually replacing it's engine with a 125cc lifan engine when this one becomes stuffed (dies)..?
How harder a job is it to do an engine replacement? this will be my first bike so i don't really know a lot about them but mates do.
I am just after something for a bit of fun, nothing serious as of yet.

Help will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks guys!

you could but if you put a Grey lifan 125cc in you would have to grind the frame down or bend the clutch arm as the clutch arm is mounted differently to a ducar.

Hrmm, that doesn't mean a whole lot to me...lol.
so how hards all that to do, will it wreck anything?

It will take over 2 hours to get it in and you probably wouldnt even be able to lift it in yourself.

if you no what your are doing then it shouldn't take to long, motors are not that heavy so i am sure he could lift it.

well if i was to get this bike and the engine ***** itself in like a month, what would you recomend i do?

i would put in a lifan for sure 140cc or 125cc start in any gear, if you have a bike shop near you then get them to do it, or if you know what you are doing do it yourself.

buy a lifan, or replacment engine, take it to a motorbike or pitbike dealer and get them to install it. Or service your pit bike and keep it well maintained.

exactly, agb29 (pro x) are not a bad bike, so if its in good condition and well maintained as mad man said, and is a good price grab it.

lol, also do you think $550 is a reasonable price for an excellent condition ProX?
he spent a little over a grand on it....
Thanks again!

that price is a bit steep some on eBay go for that much, has it got any mods or anything? or is it still stock.

Im not a 100% sure....i just know it's been looked after well...
Really, the cheapest i've seen them go for on ebay would be like $800 or so.

Do you have msn that we could talk on, you seem to know your stuff which will help me alot...lol
