would it wise to replace the rear top shock mount bush with a bearing instead??

ive replaced the bush twice in the past 2 months, and today i went and brought a bearing to tightly fit in there instead of the rubber bush!

anyone think this will cause problems and crack the mount etc?

Cheers

Hey Pitmaster.
Replacing the shock bushes with bearings or metal bushings is fine as long as your not bottoming out the rear suspension hard. The rubber bushes take up some of the severe shock caused by the shock bottoming. That shock loading can cause stress failure in the frame or possibly the swingarm. As you are replacing the STD rubbishy rubber bushes with bearings that have tighter tolerances you need to check the alignment between the top and bottom shock mounts.Any bad misalignment will cause problems too !!!
