Shifting question

My boys have a ttr 50 and a drz-70.They are very hard to shift.Does anybody have any ideas on how I can make them easyer to shift.

longer shifters should be easier, more leverage.
just depends i guess on the length of their feet / toes
if they cant reach the longer one, then modify the peg mounts to sit further forward

is the clutch cable all lubed up and sliding nicely?

im not sure if a hydraulic clutch conversion would fit, might be another option
