well i didnt really see the problem with it, i kept checking the temperature of it to make sure it wasnt heating up to much due to lack of air flow but it seemed a pretty constant running temperature...nobody told me how to do it. I just did it.

edit: by running it in right i mean not getting it going then flogging the piss outta it....

idling for long periods is no good for any bike and specially a brand new one...
about the most you want to let idle for is the amount of time it takes to tune the mixture screw.
then ride it normally but dont flog it, give it some good torque riding not rev riding...
once run in then drop the oil and set the valve clearances and then you can start to ride it any way you want to. but still dont hold it flat out for long periods of time...
 
advice taken....bit late tho lol...any advice on setting the valve clearances?
