Well here it is the long awaited Recipe Book for pies.

well i was thinking long and hard but it came to me how genral can a Genral forum be without a pie recipe book, well now were speeding things up lets get down to the pastry.

How to make a Apple pie.

Lazy person option:
1. go to yellow pages.
2. find a pie maker.
3. Drive over and Buy a apple pie
4. Eat it and find it taste bad.

Good aussie pie lover's way:
1. get some pastry from the freezer if you have none go to the shop and get some.
2.Get some apples (Green ones) if you have none your a bum so drive to the shops again and get some.
3. Slice you apples into a inch thick quarter moon slices.
4. get some honey or syrup.
5. Get you pie maker Ready if you dont have one your just silly !GO BUY ONE!
6. cut the pastry into circles put 1 on the bottom (make sure the pie maker is off for those lacking brains)
7. mix your Chopped apples with either honey or syrip hell why not both (YUM)
8. Fill up the bottom half of the pie that you have put into the pie cooker.
9. Add the other cut piece of pastry shaped into a flat circle on the top.
10. cook until golden.

Now that you have your pie if you have actualy made one out of my instructions befor you dig into it like a cow Take a pic and post it here to see how well you cooked your pie also tell us how you though it tasted i will post more Famous pie recipe's soon.

I do not want anyone else publishing the recipes on my Thread without consulting me first..

I dont believe in consulting anyone before I post and I prefer chocolate cake. Sorry about that.

Ingredients (serves 8)
200g butter, chopped
300g good-quality dark chocolate
1/4 cup hot water
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup caster sugar
3 eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 cup self-raising flour
pure icing sugar, to serve
Method
Preheat oven to 160°C. Grease a 6cm deep, 20cm (base) round cake pan. Line with baking paper.
Place butter, 200g chopped chocolate and hot water in a heatproof, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute with a metal spoon, or until smooth. Add cocoa to warm chocolate mixture. Stir until smooth. Stir in vanilla, caster sugar and egg. Sift flour over chocolate mixture. Stir gently to combine.
Pour half the batter into cake pan. Chop remaining chocolate and sprinkle half over batter. Top with remaining batter and chopped chocolate. Bake cake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre has moist crumbs clinging.
Allow cake to cool completely in pan. Remove and dust with icing sugar. Serve.
Notes & tips
Variation: You could ice the cake with rich chocolate icing or spread with ganache (see related recipe), if you prefer.
Note: This cake keeps well for up to 1 week stored in an airtight container lined with baking paper.
