im wondering if anyone would be able to tell me which bike would have the best preformance out of a 2007 atomik prox 140cc or a 2003 xr100:confused:

at a guess they would have roughly the same performance...
the xr100 would sht all over the atomik for reliability too..

but make sure the 03 xr100 is still in good nick, it has a bit of age on it now so no doubt it would be due for some major work...

also what sort of riding are you planing on doin... track or bush?
if track then none of the bikes you have outlined are suitable...

my neighbour has an xr and i have atomik and were always arguing about who has the best preformance lol i know his would be a lot better qaulity bike tho

only one way to find out....
line em up and hit it....

make it interesting tho.... throw a 50 on the ground...

oh and grab a vid cam...i wana see it lol

lol i smash him up the driveway because our drives are side by side but he still reckons he is faster and he cant come over or vice versa because the grass is about to get cut and bailed and its too long but i will try to get a vid sometime

wheres dvdrip? he seems to know what hes on about when it comes to bikes lol

nah I don't know s#@t all about xr100's

Cactus Jack would be able to answer this question

to be honest i dont know much abotu either of them. Hondas are reliable and everything ive read about atomik's is shouting stay away from them. So i would do exactly that, buy a honda. Its a honda after all, its one of the major motorbike manufacturers in the world, prob one of the best and it has racing pedigree. what do atomik have? Bad rep bad rep bad rep bad rep bad rep and some questionable looking bikes. Some mind you.

Plus with the honda, stick 125 honda in it. Cheap as chips for a honda engine these days, where as a new pit bike engine will prob be a bit more. in the uk anyways.

It all depends on whether the XR100 is stock or not ...

Add a BBK , bigger carb , open the ports up , and fit a power pipe to the XR100 and it'd blow a chinese 140 into the weeds ...

The stock chinese 140 engine is actually worked in comparison to a stock XR100 ... they have bigger valves and ports , a longer stroke and bigger bore , better flowing exhaust pipe and a most likely a bigger carb ... so it should pull away from the stock XR in a standing start drag ...

Stock XR100's are designed to be sedate play/trail bikes that are easy for anyone (including beginners to ride) ... just the same as stock CRF50's are designed with young kids in mind ... But tweak them with the right mods and they can really come to life in a big way without losing their near bullet proof reliability ...

both bikes are homo, and being in tasmania, most likely related by birth as well...
If you cant tell which is a faster bike by dragging them side by side, perhaps you need to get off the internet, and actually step out into the sunlight and find out....
The XR will be a more solidly built, reliable and sturdy platform.
The AGB29 will possibly handle a bit better, and be quicker in a straight line owing to the fact it will rev harder, has a greater engine capacity, is of a higher modification standard, and as Cactus pointed out, in "stock" form, is designed with greater performance in mind than the XR.
Mind you, a gun on a crf50 will run rings around a squid on a "Pro"(giggle) X140..

yeah my money is on the honda ... crew used to make WEAPONS outta the old xr75 motors ... in fact I saw one at the minisx a few years ago in a ktm65 .... was at the pointy end all day and never looked like failing .

So yeah the Honda with a bit of trickery .... maybe even just a lumpy cam.
