While in neutral and bike is running, wen i pull in clutch and put it into 1st
the bike jolts forward. Is this the clutch or just the cable needing to be replaced:confused: ???

Clutch is slipping , needs new plates/fibres I believe. But before you go doing that , pull off your clutch cable and check there is no fraying in the wires just to be sure and that the clutch arm is shifting forward when you pull in the lever.

agreed!
how old is the bike? and have you given it some stick?

Clutch slippage is when your motor is revving high and your not going as fast as what it should be. Try adjusting the clutch cable.

Yes that's clutch DRAG ...... usually from too much play in the cable so the clutch arm on the engine doesn't get pulled as far as it's supposed to .... It can also be caused by warped plates , worn clutch cam not disengaging the plates , too thick oil .... etc ...

yepo try clutch cable tension sumtimes it will still pull clutch arm but not far enough for response in the engine my bike always does it and frightens the **** out of me u have an extendable connection on your clutch cable make that as long as possible its better for a quicker larger response and if that doesnt work u might need new plates?? mightve been defective
