i would put the 160 in it, then later down the track you can get the TB V2 head, and 64mm bore and take it out to 184. or, if you can get the cases bored, got the 67 kit

Yeah the 160 has been put in the foxico already mate, just got the exhaust sussed today with Craig! Then noticed a big crack in the fuel tank :thumbdown:!

I still have the 150 Lifan with a cracked RH crankcase. Also got a lead on a yx150 which is not even run in for not to much...not entirely sure what I'm going to do yet. I made some money from selling the cheapie I got, so that may goto the new yx150...or fixing the Lifan...I just want to take both my bikes out this weekend so the 125 has gone into it for now! :grinning-smiley-003

i'd grab the yx150. you can still fit up the v2, and all 5the other go fast bits, as its a klx styled head. there isnt much power to be had in the 125's, unless you can get a gpx 125 head, and chuck a high comp piston in that is

Yeah I've been informed....I'll get the yx if I can afford it! Little tight atm, about to move and all. I usually end up spending a bit when I go camping for a weekend, the ride day will probably end up being a little bit of a chunk for me too!!

I'll probably get the yx150 and wait til I actually get some decent riding time before I go and get something like a high comp piston(already had a couple of gearbox issues with the smaller motors)...!! I really got into Chinese pit bikes because they're cheap mate!

I'd love to own anything Japanese of a decent age, but its not going to happen unless something falls out of the sky onto me....you never know though...Adelaide is a full of strange people who like to swap good things for crappy things...one day on one of the swap sites! I've never liked to pose though, I need to get some decent riding time in before I go blinging up bikes to hard...no point in owning a race winner if you cant ride it like its meant to be ridden! :grinning-smiley-003

oh and cheers for the advice on the bars everyone! Ended up getting some decent secondhand 'genuine' pro tapers on ebay from Victoria!! Wasnt much at all in the end :thumbup:

So found this in my spare parts stock while cleaning up today! Score its way cleaner than the other! Short pitpro factory lh engine cover!




Looks a fair bit better than the one that covers the sprocket!


Oh and if anyone wants to blow some cash on genuine parts...a crf50 exhaust gasket is the correct size for a lifan or ducar 125.... Only cost me half a six pack for a 10g round piece of copper...$7.20....poorer!

yeah sorry T.Stu I got excited and kept riding it.......should have cut bits out....but I could still hear it on the vid....sorry mate!!! I think it must vibrate at that speed just right to make the dangly bits tingle!! Planning a trip down to Tassy in September :thumbup: will definitely be coming up your way for a ride :thumbsup:

My mate has rung me again to ask if I got in contact with Brad from Braaap as they're mates...not super keen as he is a busy man, my mate is old MTB crew seems to think I can ride a dirt bike better than in reality! I'll wait til i have at least 10hr under my belt...think im at about 3 currently!

Well it will also be a bit of a reccy as ill be looking at property soon!! Honestly I looked at the vid and went its to long with not enough actual bike but it sounds sooooo good! Anyway this is my riding gear for this weekend! $320 worth....and I start off in the same place as my 80s Brain!!!

what sort of area you looking at buying in? some beautiful bush properties over the north east, only problem with rural tasmania is the residents dont like newby's lol i grew up in a rural town but because i was a foster child and my foster parents where mainlanders i was rather ostracized growing up. i suppose you get that anywhere though......
