250cc D7 misfiring

Well have tried that and retuned the carby but still the issue exists. In case I am diagnosing incorrectly here's a video btw giving it about 30%-40% at maximum on the throttle

You may hear a couple of other vibration noises in the video when I have light throttle on, they are the kick stand etc vibrating (going to pull it off anyways)

ok, so where have you tried the needle in the slide?
and did it change at all when changing the needle height

Dropped it down 1 notch and didn't really make a difference. It was in the middle notch.

Will try the bottom notch in the morning and see if that makes a difference.

yep with problems like this, i usually jump from one end of the scale to the other as sometimes 1 notch isnt enough..
so from middle i would go all the way to bottom for lean symptoms or all the way to the top for rich. this way lets you see if the problem definitely gets better or worse..
if its noticeable then i continue to fine tune the needle..

do you have another carby you can try (may require jet changes)

Thanks mate appreciate the advice will give that a try. Don't have another carby but may go grab one if I don't see major change with the needle adjustment.

98 Octane again

Now that the issues has been sorted. There should be no harm in using the 98 ?

Anyone have some points on why the bike wouldn't run well on 98.

What fuel do you run in yours?

Any feedback welcome.

any engine should be tuned to use a certain fuel.
i myself use 98

id be seeing what the engine is factory setup to use... but id be guessing standard unleaded..
when you raise the octane you should adjust the timing and carb setup(jet tune)
also im guessing the engine is a low compression engine so running 98 would be a waste and maybe make you slower

yeah i've found the Blitz to run better with standard 91 octane pump fuel... E10 or E85, depending on what the servo calls it, also works well.....
These motors are pretty basic and not "hi-performace" in the slightest, and dont have the ability to burn 98 octane fuel as well as it burns 91...
I'd stick with 91 RON...

Looking at that vid of the bike running properly, made me giggle when i remember how slow-revving those motors are in standard tune.... seems to be a bit of a "gap" between twisting throttle, and the revs picking up...
The stock carb and exhaust on these bikes are terrible, and the engine can be really brought alive by cutting the muffler down, and running either a 26 or 30mm OKO Flatslide... Check out the thread below for pretty much every fix these bikes need to get em up and running respectably....

Thanks for the feedback all the tips guys.
Good to hear the bike can be tuned up a bit to give em a bit more poke.
Also the video from my phone i don't think did the audio timing any justice...

I am sure we will hear something from cann0nf0der on this when he's back online.
