hey guys/girls just baught an atomik nitrous 150 off of ebay and when i kick it over it kicks back real bad and has more compresion that my previous atomik 150s and also takes many kicks to start
so does any 1 know what makes it do this
thx
 
Check your valve clearances .003 thou inlet .004 thou exhaust also u should be getting it to TDC little click past and then boot it should start

check inlet mainifold isnt sucking air inlet bolt on my atomik was to long and not pulling the mainfold down enough and gasket was torn
 
Tip, dont have the throttle open when you kick it as it will kick back real hard.
 
Learn kick technique, before it hurts you or the engine.
I'll add that if it has the YX150, it probably has the small outer rotor flywheel and too much advance. Remove area I shaded, 4-5mm, flush with shell. And/or you can slot the pickup and move it up/CCW.
