I got the 09 CRF250, love it never had a problem with it, Only bad thing i can recall from when i bought it new was it had a small bog problem, but that was fixed with a rejet, or you can put the smaller 08 carby on them.
If you was to buy a new 1 via loan and was worried about having to rebuild, you get a spares kit(comes with all gaskets,piston and rings and other bits n pieces) with any new bike so a top end rebuild will only cost about 300 - 400 bucks including getting valve's, springs, honing and valve seats cut, that's without labor as i rebuild mine myself.
