my biks is starting to gove me the $h!t$ and i dont kno how to get it working can some one help me ive tried befrore toget it started by pushing it up nd down my street several times it finally got it started but wen it was started it it didnt seem to wnt to be able to get its revs up to start wif until the bike was warm but wen i let the engine get cold i could not kick it again and i left it for week nd tried to kick nd it just sounds terrible wen u try to kick it over it sounds like it wont start at all (spluttering noise) so if some can help that would be gud
 
with a lot of these china bikes the coil goes realy easy thet may be your problem
 
mate it sounds like your valve clearences.

You got it spot on now ....... :D

Lack of valve clearance = hard to start when cold , runs better when hot , can hic and pop thru carb , loss of power , low compression... mimics no spark etc as explained in the "need new piston post" ....

He should check for spark first tho' just to eliminate that doubt ......:)

there is a spark spark plug is fine but the lead id home made but seems to do the job

Well then it's definitely tight valves ...... you can try .002" both valves (XR/CRF Hondas run that clearance) or .003 intake ~ .004 exhaust since it's chinese and doesn't have the thermal dimensional stability of a Honda engine ..... either way .... any clearance is better than NONE .... :p

Just recheck the gaps once the engine is hot after you get it going to make sure they haven't gone tight again ..... Thoroughly wash the bike and engine as clean as a whistle before you go undoing the adjustment caps (dirt can drop off from under the tank and get inside the head)

i loosened my top valve nd it started but im not sure wat the measuremnet is coz i dont have feeler gauges but i have found out the problem tho i cant get the valve cover on the bottom valve nd used the same spanner for the top nd rounded the nut ($h!t) so wat do i do to get it off
 
i got the bottom valve cover off nd the bike is still revving fairly high nd i have fiddled round wif carby adjustmenst nd it dosent sem to be the problem does any1 kno y its revving high
