Snitchy whats the difference between the 1p52fmi & the 1p54fmi??...well so far the selller is sending me two lifan motors 125ccc(aparently) new manifolds and 22mm carbies. the carbies i had for both bikes were only 19mm...Ive told them too mesure the stroke & bore before they send them to me and can't be any less than 54x54. Which is what i will settle for. and that i would take it to my Mechanic to get it checked out. I have sent them the old motors today and sent an email with the con note etc..they said they would ship the motors down once they received that..yet to hear a reply...will keep you all up dated on the progress. Thank you all for your support and advice!

its not the best experience to have with your first dirt bike... WeRideMinis your right about not many people knowing about it..i didn't only found out by chance because of the bore going to get done...

Snitchy whats the difference between the 1p52fmi & the 1p54fmi??...
i have found that it has a 20 mm spline for front sprocket and in 428 pitch

all good if you run a dirtbike but for my zed i cant run a 428 pitch as i cant get a small enough rear sprocket
i run a 16/26 with 420 pitch, and to find a front sprocket in a 420 pitch with 16 tooth and a 20mm spline was very difficult
seller has since got me 2 to sort the problem i had and was very helpfull

as for the bore and stroke size im yet to check that so am still weary

but he also dropped a 100 bucks off it and i only paid 250 delivered so im happy :D

mind you i did link him to my id on miniriders and also said i will be posting any problems i have in a thread that will be made available on the front page with bold typ :D
so he came around to my way of thinking

The 1P54FMI's with the clutch on the crank (lever up front /non start in gear) have a 54 mm bore x 54 mm stroke (123.67 cc) and they have a 20 mm output spline ...

Lifan 1P52FMI's have a 52.4 mm bore x 55.5 mm stroke (119.69 cc) , are start in gear with the clutch on the transmission main shaft (lever on top at the rear/start in gear) , and have a 17 mm output spline ...

The funny thing is that Lifan doesn't show a 1P54FMI engine on their website ? ... But if you got an LF1P54FMI engine with Lifan cast on the cases and it came supplied in a Lifan carton with a Lifan quality inspection certificate ... then it's possible it could be a genuine Lifan ... One way to be sure would be to send pics of the box and the engine to Lifan and ask them to verify if the engine is genuine or not ...

In the case of the Lifan "125" 1P52FMI that I got ... it WAS a genuine Lifan engine so I ended up keeping it because it had the "new at the time" more reliable all 4UP shift pattern and a relo was hassling me for the "Lifan" 120 Monster engine because they had chromed "MOJO" clutch and flywheel covers on them stock ... and he wanted it hook or crook ...

ok! sorry on the delay with the update.....so my motors are apparently on their way i haven't even checked with the courier company..i have been given a con note number which i will follow up tmrw..and as i promised that once i sorted my situation out i would inform people of the company in question and the bike... well the company is A&Spowerseller they have listings on ebay and thye have a direct website...the bikes i bouth were TDRPRO OX0 & OX1 with twin spar frames USD forks disk brakes etc but they came with 110cc motors not 125cc as it was advertised in the listing..Though the person who i delt with over the phone and via email was very helpful (in the end) we came to a suitable agreement. I still feel it neccessary to inform other people who may have bought the same bike and might not be aware of the issue..in the mean time while waiting for the new motors i managed to get my hands on a lifan 125cc (though you think i would check the boreXstroke but i didn't will do it on the weekend) and i installed in one othe bikes and man it goes sooooooo much better than the old one!..smashed in an IRK, plus 28mm Mikuni, 1/4 turn throttle, oil cooler! and wow im impressed!!..i raced a mate who has an Orion with the shinray who has raced a couple of ther mates on their bikes who all have lifan by the way and he would just clean up..anyways when he is in fourth in just half way or coming to the end of third!..so now i will pull this motor off port it and polish it as well as chekc the Bore X Stroke then i will take to my mechanic and get him to bore this bad boy out!!.. so G2 or Z40?? any one use either?...is it possible to get lumpy cams for these motors?? im also contemplating put in a nos tank the proper Nos or nitross express! Also got some Brembo brake callipers coming my way 4pot for the front and 2 pot for the rear!..

yeh TDR (they stole the name) sell some of the dodgiest bikes you can get, just everything about them looks crap and low quality, I imagine the people selling them are just as dodgy

For Lifan 125's you can buy the TBW0300 cam or a genuine Z-40 cam ... The genuine Z-40 is a fairly big cam and you can buy them from Classic Honda 50's AUS ($175 not cheap) ... You should run a high compression 14 mm pin piston with a TB or Z40 ... The cams being sold on ebay are NOT true Z40 cams ... They are smaller than a TBW0300 but they are still a good general purpose dirtbike cam and are a lot bigger than a stock 1P52FMI Lifan 125 cam ... which is really small ...

Juany, quick question mate....
What are the twin spar frames like on these bikes? i'm not fussed about the quality of the welds, as i'm pretty confident i can do a better job of beefing them up than they can, but i am curious to know what they are like... got a bit of project in mind for that type of frame and bike size...
How comfortable are they to sit on ergonomics wise? Does everything feel like it's where it should be? ie footpegs to seat to handlebar relationship??

Would be good if you give me a bit of a review on the rolling chassis of the OXO and the OXO1...

am kinda curious as to what sorta handling package could be sorted by turfing the crappy standard suspension package, and replacing it with Fast-ace stuff... the swingarm angle is pretty shallow... am thinking this sort of geometry could be made to be very stable and hook up well...
So yeah, if you can do a bit of a review on them from a frame perspective, that would be awesome...

Thump*140 RE: Twin Spar Frame

Mate i prefer this frame than the single tube style...it feels easier to handle and more responsive it feels easy to ride and comfortable but i guess it all depends on how tall you are when it comes to comfort and riding the bike i guess. I can post pictures up over the weekend if you like so you can have a look at my setup i've still got the stock suspension on...i haven't jumped the bike but in saying that i given it a really good trashing..and i weigh 110kg and the bike didn't skip a bit...the welding on it is ok i would brag about it its not lobster style welding or anything!..but its decent...one thing that im lookign into is upgradin my Exhaust system but cause the pipe runs inside the frame there is flat spot on the pipe haven't look at running it out side as it might use the frame as support and might end up burning myself...but i will let you know how it goes...i will do it just gotta see how i wanna get one of the D-comp Exhaust systems the look good and sound mean!....and yes i've thought just leaving the stock pipe in and just changin the muffler but the the new muffle has a bigger outlet so won't work..so yeah hope this helps let me know if you want more info on it or if its to vauge... i came a across this listing on ebay and thought you might be interested nice looking frame

Ah cheers mate, that was pretty much the info i was after. The whole frame on those things look like they're pretty raked/stretched, which is what i'm after... most of my mini riding is done on high speed open stuff, not tight backyard type tracks, and long wheel base, together with low swingarm load angle usually equates to reasonable stability... I have a fair amount of goodies suspension wise, engine etc that i wouldnt mind shoehorning into one of those bikes, and with the right tools and creativity, i'm sure i can make the plastics i want fit onto it as well.. While going for a perimeter frame is feasible, it still leaves me with a complete rolling chassis more or less... i figured i'd swap the good stuff from my 140 into the OX01 frame, and the running gear from the OX into my 140 frame..... so for roughly three times the price of the perimeter frame on it's on, i get one extra complete running bike...
Hmm... ebay here i come.. :)

and yeah mate, lets see some pics of this thing.,.. would be interested in seeing some detailed pics of the exhaust routing, i noticed on the ebay listings the pipe snakes in around the frame, rather than round the outside... :)
