They are highly inconsistant in term of quality , see you can buy a bike exactly the same as another. It may make brake and bend while the other just takes a beating.
Also of people that buy chinese bikes are firsttimers , alot of them are clueless on how to start a bike hence kickstart gears brake. Fail to maintain them and generally fail to give a **** about maitanance due to how much the bike cost in the first place.
People expect miracles from these bikes without doing a little work on them. Fail to maintain these bikes and they will no doubt brake.
For the cost though Chinese bikes are so very good if you buy a decent one. I have 100% faith in my bike that it will start every time. I trust it jumping , racing , bush bashing. They are great little things and to modify is cheap as chips.
Owning a china bike is more like a seperate hobby in itself really. You get addicted to modifying it , getting it to work better ( or getting it to work) , making it faster and stronger. I think this is one of the best parts about owning a china.
Another great thing is that they are so cheap to buy parts for. If you engine is in need of some bottom end or gearbox , stuffed cases work? Just buy a new engine. It cost less to buy a new set of forks than to replace its seals. Experiment with them , if it doesn't work sell the part.
Heaps easy to work on too , if something goes wrong , you know what the problem is.
