hmm. might go and buy it just to prove people wrong then. lol.
gotta love a challenge.
I agree that the pipe and watercooling is pure **** value, but if this lil KTM copy is built anything like my 250KTM copy, it would be brilliant for a china...

i dont mind it at all i reckon its pretty sweet, i just dont get the silencer wtf

yeah same. i'd turf the motor and exhaust system.. frame and rolling chassis is solid..

I saw a geniune KTM65 running a worked old xr75 motor at the sx at Frankston a year or two back .... it was very fast and went around all day at the pointy end of the pack all day ... so it's definately do -able but 1,ooo is a bit to pay for a rolling copy .... I'd be sussing wreckers for the genuine article with a terminally seized motor ..... which IF you could find one wouldn't cost any more .... and while modding the frame to take the 4 banger would be more work I reckon the end result would be better and worth the extra effort .

is there a rolling chassis available do you know?

The ebay store is splitting a frame, engine etc. They may have the other parts, but dont know if they are listed... may have to ask them..

but as Dready said, the genuine article with a terminal motor may be the go.

I recall reading about that in a mag, have no idea which one tho, that was a nice build on their behalf.

Ha ha ....yeah we were so impressed we ran it in the hood .... you got a good memory mate it was a while ago .

And yeah they did a killer job on the build ... it just looked so tidy and the honda 4 banger looked like it belonged ... and yeah it went like a rocket

Wish I could lay my hands on an image had a look .... but no luck

ya lol cant forget something that sweet, hmmm think i even have a xl donk in the shed, may have to start another build.....oh wait i gotta finish my Z and YZ off lol to many things on the go to little money :(, bloody racing gets expensive

You can most certainly get the old XR75 motors crankin' hard if you know what you're doin' ...

I've looked at those SRM frames before with the idea of building up a mad bike ... But I know only too well that by the time you hunt around and buy the plastics , tank , seat , swinger etc to suit that particular frame .... the cost will sky rocket ...

It'd be better to buy a complete bike then sell off the parts you don't want ...

Here's a link to where you can get them from ...

SRM 110cc Water Wool

Maybe they could organise a complete roller minus engine , pipe , radiator ...
