CRF50 build.. Idea's Wanted

I also think that spending a bit more upfront to buy a bike with the mods you are looking for is the best option. People that are trying to sell thier modded 50s are taking a pretty big hit as the scene has died in most areas. I bought a looked at both options when buying another 50 and I ended up buying a brand new bike and doing the mods myself, so far I have spent aprroximately $4000 including the bike and still have stock forks, frame & swinger. I have been keeping my eye on eBay over the last few months and the type of bike I could have got for a similar price is much better spec just used. Eventually you will spend the money either way.

What sort of things did $4000 get ya?

save a tonne of money!

Definitely go a used built crf50 . you probably think the prices are high for them , but when you actually add what is put into the bike you will know your saving thousands .

Also if its a quality built bike with good aftermarket gear , you dont have to worry about it being thrashed either , the parts can seriously take a beating same with the engine.

so 3500$ for a full built up 88 is pretty cheep , when look at gerros bike for $4000 and yer still has stock forks , frame swinger and spokes rims , theres and extra 2000$ more to replace them new
And you want to do 2 88s and have 2 stockas for the kids ? $$$$$$ six figures there

Yeh the kids will get 2 stocka's. I'll buy them 2 2nd hand jobs for around $1100 seems to be the going rate and then by the looks of it ill be on the hunt for 2 bikes with mods for the girlfriend and myself.
The kids bikes will be this year for sure. The other 2 will be when ever some good ones come up.

well ya wont find any better ones than that 5-o bike on ebey thats had big dollars spent , the only things left stock on that be bottom end and petrol tank and few nuts and bolts haha
