painted it when i striped it down to work the engine.had to paint the swing arm black to match the rest of the bike.
 
yeah thats what i wanna do too. did you use and special sort of paint, did you have to sandblast the chrome **** off ya swingarm before you painted it
 
my swing arm is alloy but yes you have to lightley sand with wet/dry sand paper to make the paint bond.it is all about preparation if you spend the time sanding the parts even the cheap **** paint will stick.when sanding make sure all the parts sanded look faided.you dont have to take it back to metal.
