Getting the fly wheel nut off

So I've broken my stator and I need to change it out. I've removed the sprocket/magneto cover and now it's time to take the fly wheel off. I can't seem to work out how to get the fly wheel nut undone so I can screw the flywheel puller in. I'm sure it's a simple solution that I can't see. any help would be great

You can use a rattle gun, we use one of these flywheel holders, which holds the flywheel tight and allows you to loosen the nut with a ratchet.MOTORCYCLE MOTORBIKE FLYWHEEL FLY WHEEL CLUTCH PULLEY HOLDER TOOL 45-120mm | eBay
Obviously this is in the uk but any motorcycle store should stock something similar.

And its a normal thread, left to loosen and right to tight

I use a cordless Makita rattle gun. BEST TOOL EVAAAH!!!! Takes the nut off in a flash without having to secure the flywheel. Buy one!

old thread but yeah a long breaker bar and a quick tap sometimes does the job.
I use a cheap impact driver and that does the job, prolly not the best for the crank bearings but ohh well.
