I have a 2000 Honda XR50 that I want to turn into a pitbike. Where do I start? I mainly need help on how to get it sitting higher without breaking the bank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Isnt it already a pit bike??? Half of this forums about 50's.

You can get taller seats, and higher bars, but you prob dont want to lift the actual bike higher.

Sell to me and buy bigger! Hah.

Can get longer legs, Longer rear shock and swingarm can lift it.. As said above seat and bars too. Stockers are the best fun though.

Well I am getting a taller seat and handlebars but what kind of forks and shocks should I get. From what it looks like I will probaly have to get a new swing arm also. Any recomendations?

+1 forks with some springs will bring the front end up... putting a ishock or similar in the near will pull the rear up and the stock shock is short at 230mm and ishocks from memory are 265 i think and thus raise the rear end you dont generally need to add a longer swingarm

maybe next time you post a thread take the effort to name it better than just "help"

they are all ok, I got redbaron. make sure you get new fork bushes aswell. the stock ones are crap.

before getting too far into it how about you work out exactly how high your trying to make it.. seat height??

you may be about to destroy a bike lol

I have been looking at the rear setup (swingarm, wheel, tire, brake, and shock) and front setup (forks, wheel, tire, handle bars and brakes) from pccmotor.com. Does anybody have any feedback on those two products?
