i didnt know you could get a stock avenger up tp 80 km/h. ive recently put a new 37 tooth sprocket on and its added heaps of length to the gears (if that makes sense) and increased the top speed. It would be good to know how fast my top speed actually is.
I didnt think that ratio would pull that fast. Must have been revin pretty hard!
Maybe the actual gear ratio's in the gearbox are a bit different in the ducars compared to the lifans. Does anyone know the 4th gear ratios for each motor??
Elstar have a password protected Ducar(110) manual on their site, maybe illusivedreams could have a look and see if it contains the primary drive ratio and gear ratios.... http://www.elstars.com.au/manuals.php
Ducars max out at about 70km/h on 14/37 sprockets with a 12" wheel.
60km/h is comfortable, 70km/h is screaming (but not hitting the rev limiter).
Ok well i got my sprocket today only to find that it does not fit as the hole is too small. i was going to file it out but i checked if the chain sat on the sprocket and it didnt as the teeth were spaced too much.
Anyone know where i can get a 17t sprocket to fit a mso bike?
was not off ebay it was from carter race engines and i asked if the sprocket would suit my lifan engine and he said yes. There is no info on the sprocket on their website it just says 17t sprocket.
It may be the correct tooth spacing, just your stretched chain that wont fit. Dude, I've just been sussing your chain and sprocket problems on your other thread...better get it sorted before you try for the 'mini land speed record'. If that chain lets go doin' 100ks your gonna make a mess of more than your engine cases!
LOL yeah. i got the chain about right now with only a small tight spot but the thing is with the chain tensioned to the recommended specs it keeps rattling against the swingarm.
I fitted a longer chain guard which wraps around top and bottom the first week I had mine and haven't touched the chain since. Larger sprockets will help too.
