Nah the gap to the rotor was about 3mm. When I started it up about 8:30 pm it revved off its chops!!
Good sign that the old one was struggling, couldn't run for long because the "fun police" came out and went if it's/her chops!!! LOL.
So I'll reset the idle tomoz and see where I go, I set the spark timing as read 1.1 mm BTDC but I used verniers on a bolt with a nut to do it. Put the bolt down the plug hole and adjusted the nut at TDC then moved the bolt 1.1 mm and set the timing, if you techo's get my drift!! The over rev could be caused by to much advance but I'm pretty sure I'm in the ballpark. Will know tomoz with further investigation!!
