In a nutshell, the motor has very little time on it and used to run very good. Now that I put the motor in its new frame Im having trouble getting it to run properly. The Coil, plug, CDI, Rectifier, and wiring is all brand new. The fuel is very fresh, the carb has been cleaned several times. Also, I have checked valve clearance and timing and set the throttle needle and float levels to their proper setting. What happens is...when I eventually get it started (and I say eventually because it usually takes a while) it will Idle okay. However, when I try to give it any throttle it will bogg and cut out and sputter and have absolutely no power. My question is, should I be looking at the carb? Or should I be looking at the CDI? The CDI that's on there now is only a 4 wire (previously I had a 5 wire)...but from I can tell, the 5th wire only acts as a kill switch. The carb is one of the only parts on the motor that I have yet to replace, but I would like to figure out if thats the problem before shelling out the cash for a new one.
Any help would be appreciated!!
