Is it going to be voted by the general population or voted by the VIP's?

I think VIP's so it is un-biased and can be kept under control. That way when the winner is announced its a suprise to the nominated members and they cant keep track of whos winning?? or atleast keep the poll results hidden from the members?

Why must you continually punish the literate?

what i was meaning is yes....let the members vote, but keep the poll results hidden (if possible) so people are not keeping track of who is winning etc. That way when the winner is announced its a suprise.

Also, i may have missed it, but are the VIP's doing the nominating?

I would prefer the general population. There are roughly only 10 VIP's that are regularily on. That's not enough to vote with.

VIP's can nominate the people they think are worthy for the month.

My thoughts is run it like FOTM..run the poll for the month, then anounce it at the EOM or start of new month?

Exactly what i was getting at. Mods are mods cause of there knowledge etc. We need to use this as a visual reward for normal members jumping in and trying to help out.

Can I just raise a point. When FOTM is on that poll comes up on the right side and as soon as a new poll is made that one replaces it on the right side of the site. So how will we have 2 activity polls running at the same time and get attention for them both? Is there a way to make it where it swaps around like when you refresh the page you get a different poll like how it does with the advertisements?
