I helicoioed it already just sad to get a new bike and someone else has striped it out. Spent the rest of the afternoon out running the engine in
Loving it. Just can't wait to have her run in 100%

Its made in china and there cheap .... unfortunately it can be luck of the draw ...

I still feel your pain theres nothing worse than a brand new toy with problems... good to hear you sorted it mate ... enjoy

good on ya keeping an open mind even though you were initially let down, id be ropeable if that was my new bike with stripped threads, but in the end it doesnt help and now its fixed ya having a ball mate, give us an update when its run in and been put thru its paces.

Great to hear the good news, you got that fixed quick. Like Rotn mentioned let us know how it goes mate, it's scary fun when you start opening it up. Have fun.

i know how ya feel man. i got myself a dpro 160 a week or so back. out of the factory the rear brakes were stuffed, the metal pin was broken and the pads just kept falling out. the exhaust wasn't done up properly, and upon inspection i know why, it was cos the person who did it up cross threaded the bolt, which then blew out my exhaust gasket.

since getting it i've changed the tyres, chain, handle bars, rear brake set up, locktited every bolt, bled all the brakes, did all the maintenance including vale clearances, replaced stripped head bolts (which was a pain in the ass to get out). then i'll be putting on an oko as it's running a bit lean at the moment and cant be bothered stuffing around with the stock carby.

but after doing all this i'm sure i'll have a very well set up bike, and will know how to do any work on it in the future. and it's all apart of the fun anyways

putting up some pics from yesterdays run in

really excited for this first tank to run through so i can open her right up

I hope DHZ is reading through this forum and hearing these problems people are having with their bikes and parts. They are a great business for the sport and great to have on this site but I feel the quality of the bikes and parts is slipping and needs to be addressed and responded to asap.

Its the only prob with selling a bike thats still in a box, and to claim warranty you have to pay post on the return of the item. All DHZ can do is get on to the manufacturer and complain that the quality has deteriorated and customers are not happy, the bikes are still cheap chinese bikes but the chinese are very serious about it and would do all they could to make things better on there side, but then saying that there economy has slowed quite a bit and the companies may be pushing the workers to the point that they must work quicker under harder conditions and the quality is being left behind for quicker turnover. But im sure that DHZ would do everything in there power to reassure the buyer that there is an easy solution to there prob if contacted.

Yeah I have had nothing but trouble with dhz. Will never buy a part or bike from them again. And I am making sure every one knows of their crap service

i am keen to head to the S.A. ride day,
should have it all run in by then, just depends on work

apart from the oil leak / stripped thread's, the bike performed above my expectations... well .. untill it came up to a very rocky uphill climb where traction and deep holes became an issue

the 160cc engine must be a VERY soft case as even when i tapped it and heli coiled it, it was very smooth.

maybe i just got a friday dud cast, but for the price of the bike i would have thought more care would have been taken during assembly

does anyone know the torque required for the banjo bolts???

just email DHZ mate and they can help, if you then still cant get any i can post some from work.

cheers mate, ill email DHZ and see what can be sorted out

just want to replace both to put my mind at ease,

done a quick seach on google and their is an endless supply of M10's and M8 seems to be in short supply / demand
