That's OK .. Just don't go touching the new manifold except to remove any big casting lumps or irregularities and to make the carb end of it slightly larger than the carb outlet bore ... leave it as it is at the head port end , the step will block reversion pulses from making it back to the carb ......

A lot of people don't know it but reversion pulse waves cause the intake air to make several passes over the mainjet .... picking up fuel each time , enriching the mixture , and causing the engine to run boggy and be hard to tune .......

OK, The 56-2 DC manifold is installed and I've done the mods you said to do to the intake side !!
My intake sizes are- Carby outlet 26mm, Mani inlet 28mm, Mani outlet between 25.5 and 26mm (I cleaned the casting up a little) and head inlet is 28.5mm

I'll hopefully get a chance for a ride today (Sunday) and I'll let you know how I go !!!

I've got a FMF Factory 4.1 for sale, $250 + postage. CRF50 model, had it on my old motovert, will fit all lifan, ducar, jialing engines. PM if you are interested and I will get some photos for you.
These pipes are $500 from anywhere in Australia.
 
well i would sugest fore prober proformance i would go the bbr stock bore pipe fore the stock crf's may look pritty gay but deff sound and proform the best fore the medium to big bores ether the fmf 4.1 or the pro curcut t4 if u have one of them huge bore like the 140 and stuff id go the fmf and if u wont looks up to u what u wont but the chinese pipes just make ur bike loud dont realy get much of a proformance gain
 
Anyone know what pipe would fit a twin spar frame that has a little bit of work done to the motor. I've got a provert and would like to know if the single spar frame muffler's will fit.
 
I assure you NAON the pipe I got made quite a difference !! I even had to upgrade my intake manifold as the intake side now couldn't keep up !!!

My bike before the exhaust was a wheel stand machine !!! but with nice throttle control you could still climb serious hills !! but now with the pipe and new manifold you mainly ride on the rear wheel !! and forget about trying to climb hills with it !! it just flips you off the back, no matter how gentle you are with it !! it's insane !!

The motor now revs much quicker and it definately makes more power !!
 
true well bp proformane just emajine what you get with a proper designd pipe and a jet kit would do, rather that a copy and minour carby ajustments! may cost more and get a power increase that not woth the exta dollers! but realy depends on how serious u wanna take it!

Oh yeah I'm sure that a pipe with R n D put into it would make more power and would be worth every cent !!! .. I just ment that my less then half the price pipe did a fairly good job and that im extreemly happy with it ...
