I've got a 140cc Lifan eninge (1P55FMJ) and It's oil cooled but I wanted to know could I use one of the oil lines as an oil cooler?

i think he means use the oil line to transfer the oil from the engine back to the engine without cooler attached? i guess you can do that but make sure it comes out one hole and goes to the other done block them up

instead of using the oil cooler the engine came with, could I just use one of the oil cooler lines as an oil cooler?

yeah but you can...i am doing it on my spare engine..it works fine...just dont run the engine to hot.

There is no way known I would block the oil cooler ports or run a bike without an oil cooler. No way!

So I can use an oil cooler line as an oil cooler. So what differnece would it do to my bike if I had the proper oil cooler on? The oil cooler would probably cool down the oil a little bit but the main reason why we have oil coolers on bikes is to get the oil flowing. Correct??

no the oil coolers surprisingly cool the oil

if you run an oil cooler line from one of the holes in the case to the other it will still run and the oil will flow but it wont cool then engine half as well

I think there is some debate on whether oil coolers do much cooling at all. It would depend on the type of oil cooler you have, if it is one of those billet bricks then I doubt they do any cooling so bypassing that cooler and running a hose direct would be just the same if not better. Although a radiator style cooler would be a better option.

Cheap option for an oil cooler is a VW Type 1 (beetle) oil cooler, high flow, efficiant cooling and pretty cheap from the wreckers. Just add acouple of fittings and your laughing
