race starts on crf 50

hey guys, me and my mates usually race our crf 50s at tracks we make and usually start from a stop. to race start on a crf 50 im pretty sure you put it in 1st and hold the gearlever halfway up while your reving it. you drop the gearlever and your off. it seems like the best way to race start and its effective. i was wondering if its bad for the gearbox, i really dont want to kill the gearbox.

i start in second. I will click to third, then go one full click down and hold it down, then hit the limiter and take foot off lever. no probs with the box yet. probably going to distroy a clutch first.

No thats fine... when you hold the lever down it disengages the auto clutch... just down it at high revs will wear out the clutch plates quicker than just cruising around , but they only about $15-$20 to replace all 3 so its no big deal

i usually ride with mates from motocross and there mates, there ends up being atleast 7 of us. i cant ride saturday im racing on sunday and saturday i have to help out at the motocross busy bee. would be awesome if we could organise another race in perth.

no race, we just riding amongst our selves... you should come down westy, its a fun little track with some of them freestyle jumps you like

theres the wanneroo junior mx clubround this sunday, we get roughly 60 or more riders.
