Hey people !
I have just recently bought a DNM HRC rear shock for my pit bike and have only used it twice. Both times after riding it there has been an oil residue on the bottom of the shock around the rebound adjuster. The shock still works perfectly. Does any one know where it could be coming from or has anyone had the same problem ?. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks Dirt Dog

probably just all the seals wearing in..
but how much is coming out? like a small rings of it?
i wouldn't be too fussed if it still feels good

Can't say I noticed that when mine was new. Certainly does not happen now. Hopefully you just have surplus oil on the outside. Inspect the chrome on the shaft for any defects or scratches. If you wash it after each ride, and it keeps happening, then get it replaced. If it leaks oil, then I expect it'll also leak the nitrogen and it'll be useless pretty quick. You can get em real oiled and gased, but I expect it'd be hard to find spare parts, so best sort it out soon.

Thanks Guys/Girls ! It only seems to be coming out of the bottom and is only seems to be on the outside of the rebound adjuster. So the way I see it, It should be fine it might only be lube from the chain.
Cheers Dirt Dog

Wash it and monitor it. Every time you use it, and every week that passes, you're probably going to have less chance of getting is replaced under warranty. Just the slowest leak and it'll rapidly turn to crap, and then you bike's rear end will be just like a pogo stick.
