your gearbox locked up and yet your carrying on about a chain issue...

and there is no chain that will not come off taking into account of the abuse and neglect these bikes get from most people. as with your gearbox...

your telling 5% of your story..
quality parts means a quality ride...enough said

yes you are entitled to your opinion
but you're basically saying you're using a rubbish chain and soft bolts.... juuuust incase the gearbox locks up

anyway if it works for you then good on ya but recommending a setup like that on here won't get you far

So the chain had something to do with the gearbox breaking how?

i have no idea the gear shaft was snapped in half its hard to describe what happened but it was related to the chain catching something and the chain didnt break im really not sure how to explain now i wish id taken photos of it because it shocked me that much how it happened but it was a long time ago and ive had a few beers tonight and cant remember ill ask my brother next time i see him see if he remembers what i told him about it

no you are telling me the chain is the reason i pushed the bike go back through the last few posts and THINK BEFORE YOU POST

you just proved your ignorance to me and probably to anyone else with half a brain that ever reads this i said nothing about chain will not come off just making a comparison to you saying it shouldnt what is wrong with you

well running a ******* china chain is just as likely gonna snap or jump and that can also cause damage to your gearbox... and your engine casings... and your ignition system... and rip your leg to shreds

well explain that to wogtaz chain can damage the box

...and running your chain too tight will severely load up the countershaft sprocket, and counter shaft itself... put enough strain on it, somethings gotta give... most of the time the chain will die first, but in some cases, it can crack cases, kill countershaft bearings, crack countershafts, and make santa fatter.

How the hell are you gonna brake the gearbox by running a quality chain and sprocket bolts???.......... all tensioned properly..

running a **** chain will snap on you out of nowhere and go flying into your cases ...

That seriously is the stupidest thing ive ever heard

Wtf did i say?

what are you on man your crazy...

haha, this thread is actually pretty entertaining (and confusing)! I started off feeling sorry for the young dude but the last few pages are classic!

hasnt motovert boy got the flux capacitor installed, or is that something else???

on a side note...

if you need a sprocket made hit me up and i can help ya out, i have done one for a motovert before but you would need to confirm the sizes.

Yeah it was mv24. Lol. Had to take it off when he got the new 125. It was going to have too many killer swasps. Lol

MV24 get yourself a JT Sprocket. Find a distributor near you and they will measure and order it in at any size and any number of teeth you want.
