well i dont think the lifan would have gearbox problems i think you have a problem with the gears. you probly caused that.
all engines are slitely different but all same make.
 
Soon these Lifan cars along with other China made cars will be on our roads everywhere. I have already seen the Lifan car in Melbourne and when the dealerships start selling and advertising them with prices as low as $10,990 with aircon there will be alot of intrest in them.
