I went the sleeper look with mine because of the ridiculous overzealous policing here in Adelaide. If it looks like a ricer, book it, defect it..
Started with a gunmetal grey 93 R33 GTS-T Type M.. was an auto... over the years added intercoolers, bigger turbo, apexi power-fc, boost controller, pod, 4" exhaust from turbo back, manual gearbox, TEIN coilovers, triple plate clutch etc etc..
had it dynoed the day before i traded it on my R34, punched out just over 251kw at the wheels. Not massive, but quick enough for 0-100 in around 4 seconds, and peaky enough to break traction at 105kph everytime you nailed third.. Great fun car to drive, and the $8k spent on suspension and control arms, bushings etc etc made it turn like a go-kart chasing a naked chick... most of the money was spent on upgrading existing bits, mechanical and tuning... cause it was my only car, it had to be used for more than just posing... so i didnt bother too much with big $$ paint, bodykits and rims..
By far the best part about that car, was it was the only one i'd ever seen with a TOW BAR!!!! (ps: Massive props to Hall Towbars on main nth road for that one)
Passing some p plater kid in his "hotted-up" VY commy, with a trailer full of bikes was always fun. and humiliating. for them. not me.

for those who like the old school body, with new technology under the bonnet etc...

VL turbos for the win. Nissan motor with an aussie body Jap cars are great but they dont get my respect. Would much rather look at an aussie muscle cars commodores, toranas, kingswoods then jap cars.

if you get a skyline, don't get a 33, and most of all don't get a gtst, everyone turns 18 and gets mummy to buy one for them, I don't mind GTRs, gotta love the original godzilla, 34's are good too, I don't mind 33 gtrs but gtsts make me puke.
Look into evos mate good old 4g63, 11 second quarter miles on standard block daily driven, and you don't see them every day. Cops just think it's a riced up lancer

i have driven my fair share of powerful cars, japanese, australia, american.....
i go to america once a year with a best mate and his old man who imports american cars...
they handle like dogs balls but you cant deny the sound of a double pumper carby, very very nice sound... my best mate has a corvette now which we are currently restoring, and another mate just bought a 64 convertible vette also... i have some pics of them both. definatly go the american power...
