Then it was just being a pushbike bandit around the streets till we moved out to property .

climbed trees. fell out of trees. rode bmx. no computers, no gameboys.

when i was little i use to build mechanno,
lots of trucks, cranes, cars and planes etc

then we got pong when i was about 8, it had been out about 2 years?

elvis presley died in august 1977, still remember how most of my female teahcers at school were so upset, crying

at 9 years old, i got my first bike, a Malvern Star 3 speed dragstar
looked like this style, but an earlier model, metallic purple with a big black seat

robsdragstar1.jpg

then scored an old Deltek, sweet bike that was, had an old JAP motor in it, went pretty good for the size etc.
had a top speed of about 30kmph

and later that year we got another one, with front and rear supsension, and a briggs and stratton 4 stroke motor,
that thing sounded like a Harley...it went a little faster , about 40kmph.

then i moved up to my first bike,
a very rough, old (1974) Yamaha mx125,
it had an issue with the gears, we had to take the clutch rod out of the motor and straighten it about 3 times during the day, when it wouldnt select gears.
looked nowhere as good as this one

and at school, our favorite iceblock was the sunny boy, and 37 years later you can still buy them...
