I would love to try one on my yx160 praccy bike.

Not willing to be a guinea pig though as current v2 184 setup is good.

I don't think it's worth it without knowing who actually "really" makes that head?

Looks like it's a China head to me.

Doesn't mean it won't be any good.

Real question is it any better than a v2 though?

So this is a new thing then I'm gathering? I just seen it last night and couldn't remember anyone telling me about them! Maybe when I win the lottery! Someone else can be the test dummy!!

nah it's been out a long time
brand new they are $499 for the 4V kit
they haven't really been played with much here
for the 160cc 4V engine it's $900
most of the forums are saying go for the TB V2 head, much better out of the box

Yeah I'd in akunar for something like that! $26 for hd valve springs!! Found another place in the UK has them for $22 messaged him for a postage quote

A ported and polished 4v would surely be nice and fast though yeah?

the port work needed to get them flowing nice is about $250 worth
and that is with someone that knows what they're doing

yeah but those springs, the UK ones for a Z160HO, or YX150 ?

Yeah I got a decent mechanic who would do it for far less than $250 for me..... :grinning-smiley-003

Not really keen atm, just learning stuff...how much extra would you get out of a 4v head? Would it be worth the price in terms of speed increase?

Ok so looks like I found a place that does HD yx 150 springs in the UK for $22 plus he said 6 quid postage...so thats around $30....sweet, might be doing that!!

Hit me up if you want the link!

he also sells 45° manifolds that are 90°...

did you ask him if they are any better than the yx160 stock springs ?
they might be standard yx160 springs ?

Pretty sure HD before springs stands for heavy duty....

yeah but aren't they listed for YX140s' ?
what if standard YX140 springs are weaker again, and they found if they fitted YX160 springs that they were better?

I wonder how well this would come up on an alloy crankcase?? Apparently its possible to do alloy...hmmm probably cost just as much to set up as getting the new one but it kinda looks like fun!

where your Lifan casing cracked it's on the cast iron bearing mounting surface
you wouldn't be able to get a drill in there for starters
